December rolls along and I realize I have not saved up nearly enough money to buy my friends and families Christmas gifts. (Curse you unemployment!) Thought I’m sure my friends miss my usual economy class gifts of soaps, chocolates or movie tickets, I really hope they enjoyed my “hand-made” gifts better.

My brother passed his nursing exam! He is officially a nurse. I am so happy and relieved that he is finally finished. The road to becoming a nurse seems so long and stressful. My only regret is that he will reclaim his title as (self-proclaimed) “Prettier Sibling”. Now that he will have more time to work out, style and dye his hair, put in bright blue contacts, and all the things he use to do. Congrats Jeriel!!

I moved to a new office at work and it feels great. I didn’t realize how negatively a tiny windowless office affected me. Now I don’t have to work from home! I very much enjoy separating work life from home. Otherwise I get use to thinking about work when I am at home. I feel motivated!

Our first year wedding anniversary has come and gone. That was so fast I am a little shocked. Let me reflect on what happened in our wonderful first year.

1. I left EA and started working for QCDocs Systems as a designer.
2. Devin and I purchased a new card. Our wonderful Honda FIT.
3. We bought an apartment style condo in Port Coquitlam. No more room mates!
4. Devin left EA and started working for Nexon Gaming.

And that’s just the big stuff. There has been so many micro shifts in our lives that has made us feel so much more grown up. For example taking steps toward improving our writing(Devin) and drawing(me) so that we can one day make a living out of doing our most favored of hobbies. Eating healthier. Exercising. Making an effort to spend equal time with families and friends. The list goes on.

For our paper anniversary. Devin got me Hellboy comics. He is my favorite super hero. My card is 2 monkeys sitting in a tree. I gave Devin the Watchmen graphic novel and a magazine on Retro Gaming. His card reads, “When I said I do, I didn’t mean laundry.”

For the actual day we opened gifts and went to Milestones. For the weekend we had a day planned out for kayaking and picnicing, but we didn’t take into account that beaches and lakes are so busy during the last couple of weekends of August. We couldn’t get in – all the rentals were gone and there was no parking left for the beaches. So we went to the mall to buy us things to cheer us up. Ha! But we didn’t actually buy anything.

We had reservations for the Cannery. That part of our plan went without a hitch! The mussels were so awesome.

Sunning at Chilliwack lake. It was super hot! I was the only one who wanted to go swimming but I decided against it as I had forgotten my sandals and the rocks were cutting my feet.

This is the weekend after (I  don’t feel like making a seperate post). Devin’s parents gave us another wedding present (cash)! We spent it all in finally buying furniture for our living room. I love our Honda FIT, we crammed all these long boxes in the back. It took us about 30 minutes of playing tetris but it worked!

Devin and I are taking a break from the city. We are spending the long weekend in Chilliwack with his parents. Here are pics of their 3 cats from left to right, Chancey, Nike and Buster. I still can’t decide if I like cats or not. They seem so moody.

Corinne, Devin and I went to White Pine Beach today. Harv was suppose to come too but he stayed at home and soaked in a bath tub. We planned on sun tanning and going swimming but it was way too cold! It even rained for a few seconds every once in a while. There was about 5 minutes of sunshine and it was awesome. We almost ate all 10 sandwiches we brought, we got through 8/10. The last 2 were for you Harv!!!! Oh I almost forgot, a bug flew into Corinne’s eye as I took a picture of her. I posted the picture on Twinkle so everyone nearby who had an Iphone/Itouch could see the picture. We went home around 2pm. Corinne was going to do her laundry and I am going to play video games in my bikini. The-End.

So this is where I work. My snug little office. Sometimes my co-workers stop by. 
Update: Just looking at these photos, I noticed I have M&Ms. Jackpot.

I’m on the west coast train heading to work. It’s been nearly a week with my new iPhone and I love it! I feel so free knowing I can access my email, blog and google map at any time.
